This is a Native-made smoked moosehide. It was handmade using traditional methods but was not treated with real brains. Nowadays, it is rare for brains to be used and each person has their own recipe for softening the hides. Traditional, handmade leather is very difficult to obtain these days and has become quite expensive.
This is a whole hide with some holes (sewn up), blemishes, and scratches on the leather. Please look at the photos closely for any blemishes and unique features.
